Abstract
The present invention discloses a method of preparing an MXene-supported iron-nitrogen-carbon, Fe-N-C, catalyst capable of withstanding degradation and oxidation at high temperature. The method comprises the steps of preparing a Fe-N-C catalyst including subjecting a mixture comprising a precursor with a carbon source to a first pyrolysis, wherein the precursor includes a hydrate of iron nitrate and derivatives thereof, a hydrate of zinc nitrate and derivatives thereof, and an imidazole and derivatives; and subjecting a mixture comprising a multilayer titanium carbide, Ti₃C₂Tₓ, MXene and the Fe-N-C catalyst prepared thereof to a second pyrolysis.
