Hybrid power generation system using tidal energy

Abstract

A system for generating tidal power comprising a tank supported by at least one vertical gear (110), such that the tank (102) travels in an upward direction and a downward direction with the at least one vertical gear (110), the tank (102) travel based on a vertical motion of a tide. At least one circular gear (112) is coupled to the at least one vertical gear (110), such that the at least one circular gear (112) rotates when the at least one vertical gear (110) moves in the upward direction and the downward direction. A shaft (118) is connected to the at least one circular gear (112), such that the shaft (118) rotates when the at least one circular gear (112) rotates. A dynamo (116) is attached to the shaft (118), such that the rotation of the shaft (118) is transmitted to the dynamo (116) for power generation.
