Abstract

Provided are a contact pin (100) and a socket (10) for inspection that can improve electrical performance or thermal performance. An embodiment includes: an electric conductive electrical contact (110) extending from the base end to the tip and having an elastic deformation part (112) elastically expandable and compressible in the extending direction formed between the base end and the tip; an electric conductive thermal contact (120) extending from the base end to the tip and having an elastic deformation part (122) elastically expandable and compressible in the extending direction formed between the base end and the tip; and an electrically conductive casing (140) that bundles the electrical contact (110) and the thermal contact (120) laterally stacked adjacent to each other, and the casing (140) is in contact with the electrical contact (110) and the thermal contact (120) so as to form a path bypassing the elastic deformation part (112, 122).
