System for integrating vehicle accessories over a network

Abstract

A system for integrating vehicle accessories (10) which can be controlled by a mobile device (11) and a platform server (12) is described. The system involves a driving video recorder (14), an electronic toll collection transponder (16) and a data processor (18). The driving video recorder (14) and the electronic toll collection transponder (16) are in communication with the data processor (18). The data processor (18) is controlled by the mobile device (11) and the platform server (12). The data processor (18) is upgradable over the network to improve the driving video recorder (14) and the electronic toll collection transponder (16). The mobile device (11) and platform server (12) can access data in the driving video recorder (14) and the electronic toll collection transponder (16). A suitable accessory (22) such as telematics device or IoT sensors can be added to the data processor (18) either via wired or wireless connection.
