Method of determining cardiac remodelling in subject

Abstract

The present invention discloses a method of determining a cardiac remodelling in a subject. The method comprises the steps of receiving a cardiac magnetic resonance imaging, MRI, image of a left ventricle, LV, of a heart of the subject; determining a cardiac remodelling including a positive LV remodelling, a non-LV remodelling, and a negative LV remodelling associated with the heart by subjecting the cardiac MRI image to a pre-trained machine learning algorithm, wherein the positive LV remodelling includes an LV end-diastolic volume, EDV, increment of more than or equal to 20% from a baseline; and determining a likelihood of future occurrence of any cardiac remodelling of the subject based on the cardiac MRI image, a series of subsequent cardiac MRI images, or any combinations thereof.
