Abstract

The present invention discloses an empty fruit bunch spreader machine comprising a container unit (100) including a front end, a rear end, and sides (101) defining an interior and at least one opening, such that the container unit (100) is configured to contain a plurality of empty fruit bunches; a transfer mechanism (105) located at least in part within the interior of the container unit (100) and defines a path of travel, the transfer mechanism (105) being configured for transferring the plurality of empty fruit bunches along the path of travel toward the opening of said container unit (100); and a vertical catching unit (300) arranged in a position adjacent to the opening of the container unit (100) for engaging and expelling the plurality of empty fruit bunches from the container unit (100); wherein the plurality of empty fruit bunches is expelled into a horizontal spreading unit (400) arranged in a position below the vertical catching unit (300) for distributing the plurality of empty fruit bunches to a bottom area below and to either or both sides of the container unit (100) thereafter.
