Abstract

The present application relates to a toilet system (100) for a zero-gravity or microgravity environment, comprising: a toilet seat (101) having an opening therethrough for a user to seat; a refuse pack (102) having a rim (107) on top side with at least one opening, and a plastic sheet (108) with a bottom plate (106) for forming a compartment at bottom; at least one air blower (103) to direct at least one human waste or any solids to the refuse pack (102) from the opening using a flow of air; a sealed chamber (104) having a Hatch door (105), positioned below the toilet seat (101) to accommodate the refuse pack (102), characterized in that the bottom plate (106) having at least one fastening means to secure the Refuse pack (102) to the toilet system (100) or chamber (104); at least one Flapper valve (111) connected to a vacuum pump system to pull the air from the compartment; and at least one top plate for securing on the rim (107) to seal the Refuse pack (102), in such way that the vacuum pump system pumps out the remaining the air in compartment of the sealed Refuse pack (102) for storage and containment.
