Abstract

The Early Detection Alarm Preventive System (EDAPS) is an innovative and cost-effective solution developed by MM Matrix Integrity (M) Sdn Bhd to address the critical need for enhanced safety in residential and industrial environments. Leveraging Industrial Revolution 4.0 technologies, EDAPS integrates advanced gas, temperature, and flame sensors with a smart alarm system to provide a real-time monitoring and early warnings for potential hazards such as gas leaks and fire outbreaks. EDAPS is designed to detect hazardous gases, including LPG, propane, methane, and carbon monoxide, while also monitoring environmental temperatures to prevent catastrophic failures. The system features a robust yet lightweight design, equipped with a user-friendly interface for real-time data display, remote monitoring capabilities, and seamless integration with existing home alarm systems. Rigorous prototype testing has demonstrated EDAPS's reliability and effectiveness, with the ability to operate efficiently on backup power for extended durations.
