Abstract

ABSTRACT A METHOD FOR FORWARDING AND RETURNING PACKETS IN A MULTI-DIE SYSTEM-ON-CHIP (SOC) The present invention relates to a method for forwarding and returning packets in a multi-die System-on-Chip (SoC) (100). The method (100) is characterized by the steps of forwarding a request packet from a source die to a destination die (110) and returning a response packet from the destination die to the source die (120). The method (100) utilizes a track ID to enable track sharing and a Departure Port Count to track the number of inter-die ports traversed by the packets, thereby ensures efficient routing and enhances inter-die communication across the multiple dies within the system.
