Abstract

The present invention discloses an apparatus (100) for manipulating electrical power, comprising at least one shaft (210) mounted with components that include one or more flywheels (221, 222); at least one motor (141, 142), which is in connection with the shaft (210) via a first drive mechanism; and at least one generator (150), which is in connection with the shaft (210) via a second drive mechanism; wherein the motors (141, 142) receive electrical energy of a first electrical power from a power source, which is converted into mechanical energy and transmitted across the components of the shaft (210) through the drive mechanisms to reach the generator (150), for the generator (150) to generate electrical energy of a second electrical power therefrom.
