An automatic platform screen door system

Abstract

The present invention discloses an automatic platform screen door system comprising: a platform operation module (100) configured for controlling at least one operation of the platform screen doors (101) on a platform (102a, 102b) in a facility; a monitoring module (103) configured for measuring at least one electrical parameter of a plurality of electrical wirings associated with at least one first programmable logic controller (PLC); a PLC condition detection module (104) operatively coupled to the at least one first PLC and configured for detecting a failure condition of the at least one first PLC; a second PLC configured as a backup to the at least first PLC; and a switching module (105) operatively coupled to the at least one first PLC, the second PLC, and the PLC condition detection module (104); wherein the switching module (105) is configured for automatically switching controls to the second PLC upon detection of the failure condition of the at least one first PLC based on real-time measurement of the electrical parameters of the plurality of electrical wirings associated with said first PLC.
