Use of collagen with reticulated structure and ECM-regulating function in tissue filling and / or volume-augmentation

Abstract

The present disclosure relates to the field of bioengineering technology, in particular to use of collagen with a reticulated structure and an ECM-regulation function in tissue filling / volume-augmentation. The recombinant type III humanized collagen provided in the present disclosure can self-crosslink to form a reticulated structure and exhibit good mechanical strength. The collagen has both short-term and long-term effects. In terms of the short-term effect, it can be directly used as a filler. In terms of the long-term effects, it can activate multiple signaling pathways and promote the expression of various collagens in the extracellular matrix, co-construct and maintain the reticulated structure of the extracellular matrix, improve the extracellular matrix environment, and improve the morphology, adhesion, migration, and proliferation ability of cells. Thus, it can achieve durable filling and repair effects and holds promise for application in the field of tissue filling and repair.
