Abstract

ABSTRACT SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATIC NUMBER PLATE RECOGNITION AND USER JOURNEY VERIFICATION FOR RADIO FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION TOLL FARE COLLECTION The present invention provides a system (100) for automatic vehicle number plate recognition and user journey verification for radio frequency identification, RFID toll fare collection comprising a RFID detector (20), a plurality of cameras (30) installed at entry tolls and exit tolls, an automatic number plate recognition, (ANPR) engine (40), a lane computer system (50), and a plurality of servers (60) connected to the lane computer system (50) and the ANPR engine (40). The toll fare is determined and collected based on the matching of RFID signals, the vehicles and the plate numbers detected at the entry tolls and exit tolls (Figure 1)
