A marking paint

Abstract

The present invention relates to a marking paint composition suitable for use in applications such as roadway markings, parking areas, and pedestrian crossings. The marking paint composition includes the use of recycled oil as an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional oils. It reduces the viscosity of the composition, while enhancing the flexibility and adhesion of the marking paint. The composition further comprises coarse calcium carbonate, present in an amount ranging from 20 wt% to 40 wt% of the total composition; fine calcium carbonate, present an amount ranging from 10 wt% to 30 wt% of the total composition; hydrocarbon resin, present in an amount ranging from 18 wt% to 22 wt% of the total composition; titanium dioxide, present in an amount ranging from 5 wt% to 7 wt% of the total composition; colour pigments, present in an amount ranging from 0.02 wt% to 0.1 wt% of the total composition; wax, present in an amount ranging from 0.8 wt% to 1 wt% of the total composition; glass beads, present in an amount ranging from 20 wt% to 30 wt% of the total composition; and recycled oil, present in an amount ranging from 1.4 wt% to 1.8 wt% of the total composition.
