Silos and facilities for the production of concrete

Abstract

The present invention relates to a silo (100) for making concrete comprising, among other things, a main chamber (1) for storing a first component, preferably in powder form, and at least one side chamber (2) for storing a second component, preferably liquid. The present invention further relates to an installation (1000) comprising the silo (100) according to the invention and further including a mixer (150) in which the first and second components can be mixed together as aqueous mixtures, in particular, continuously, to form concrete, in particular, porous lightweight concrete, and the finished concrete can be extracted therefrom, preferably continuously. The silo (100) or the installation (1000) according to the invention allows the production of concrete adapted to the environmental conditions of the silo or the installation, so the quantities of the components can be dosed individually. Another object of the invention is a process for making concrete, in particular lightweight porous concrete, also known as foamed concrete, in the installation according to the invention, as well as the use of the silo according to the invention for making concrete, in particular lightweight porous concrete.
