Improved dispensing device

Abstract

A dispensing device for storing and dispensing material having a main unit and a container assembly removably attached to the main unit. The container assembly comprises a container for containing a material, and a dispenser for transporting the material to an outlet. The main unit has a motor with a motor shaft connectable to a drive shaft of the dispenser by a wedge track gear. The dispenser has a worm screw driven by the driveshaft configured around the drive shaft. The rotation of the worm screw moves the material to the outlet of the dispenser for discharge. The outlet is covered by a cap which automatically opens when the container assembly is attached to the main unit, and which automatically closes when the container assembly is removed from the main unit. The device has a control unit and software for exactly measuring doses of discharged material.
