Abstract
Description
The invention pertains to a multipurpose perfume container. The teachings of the prophet of Islam have profoundly influenced practices aimed at enhancing personal cleanliness and spiritual mindfulness. Among these, the application of fragrances is traditionally valued for creating a serene atmosphere during prayers. Simultaneously, tools such as prayer beads and oral hygiene devices, notably the miswak, signify deeprooted symbols of devotion and personal care. In the prior art, the usage of perfumes, miswak, and prayer accessories has been. common. across various cultures, especially within Islamic traditions. Historically, fragrance application has involved manual methods or stationary implements like incense burners, often lacking portability and convenience. Similarly, the miswak, though recognized for its efficacy in oral hygiene, is limited by its traditional form, reducing its modern practicality. Prayer beads, central to meditation and focus, remain largely unmodified from their sacred role, missing technical enhancements to improve usability. Additionally, Muslims encounter challenges in tracking and confirming the completion of their daily prayers, which are structured as Fajr (predawn), Dhuhr (midday), Asr (afternoon), Maghrib (sunset), and Isha (night). Traditional methods, such as manual counting' with. prayer beads, often fall short in providing an efficient and consistent solution for maintaining discipline and adherence to prayer schedules. The present invention addresses these limitations by proposing a perfume container as an integrated solution for an enhanced user conveniency. _ 2 _ According to a first aspect of the invention, there is provided a perfume container comprising a first compartment for holding a perfume, and a fluid dispensing mechanism fluidly connected to the first compartment. The perfume container further comprises a counting device comprising at least one controller engageable by a user for incrementing said counting device by at least one count and / or for resetting said counting device to at least 0. The counting device is operable independently from the fluid dispensing mechanism.of the perfume container, wherein the user may engage the at least one controller to count the prayers he has done or doing without necessarily having to operate the fluid dispensing mechanism of the perfume container at the same time. Combining a perfume container with a prayer counting device significantly improves the user convenience i.e. the user can seamlessly dispense a perfume fluid while performing and counting prayers without the need to reach for a second device. In an even more convenient embodiment of the invention, the perfume container may comprise a second compartment for storing a dental cleaning device. Advantageously, one edge of the second compartment may be rotatably attached via at least one hinge to an external wall of the first compartment, wherein. an. opening' of the second compartment is covered by the external wall of the first compartment when the second compartment is closed. This allows the user to insert and remove the dental cleaning device conveniently by rotating the second compartment hingedly around its edge. The skilled person in the art will appreciate that the hinge can be attached using various methods, such as bolting, adhesive bonding, welding, or fastening with nails and / or rivets, and the hinges may be preloaded, without being limited to these techniques. _ 3 _ In an alternative embodiment, the second compartment comprises a lid rotatably attached to the second compartment via at least one hinge for opening and closing said second compartment. This is convenient, due to the fact that there may not be a need for the second compartment to hingedly rotate, and may make it even more convenient for the user to put in and / or take out the dental cleaning device by simply opening and closing the lid to remove or insert a dental cleaning device. The counting device may be a digital counting device or may be a mechanical counting device, but is not limited to either device as any counting device that is able to count the amount of prayers is sufficient for this purpose. A digital counting device may be advantageous due to the fact that it enables a compact design but may necessitate an electric power source in order to function. A mechanical counting device may be advantageous due to the fact that it does not require any electrical source, but may complicate the design of the perfume bottle due to the use nechanical elements, and may be more sensitive to wear and tear. In one embodiment, the at least one controller may comprise a first pressable button for incrementing the counting device by at least one count, enabling the user to count the amount of prayers done using the perfume container embodiment. The at least one controller may also comprises a second pressable button, for resetting at least one count on the counting device to at least 0. This may be implemented such that the button counts down incrementally, starting from the amount of prayers the user has done when pressing the second pressable button, or such that the button immediately resets the at least one count to O. Advantageously, this allows the user to reset the amount of prayers in a certain timeframe, such as once a day or once an hour. _ 4 _ In one embodiment, the at least one controller may comprise a scrolling wheel for incrementing the counting device by at least one count following' at least one turn. of said scrolling wheel. A. scrolling wheel may allow the user to conveniently increment the counting device back and forth without the use of buttons. This design is particularly beneficial for users who experience anxiety or discomfort with traditional pressable buttons, a condition known as 'koumpounophobia' in the state of the art. By minimizing reliance on physical buttons, this approach directly addresses such psychological barriers. Notably, the late Steve Jobs, who was famously averse to buttons and rumored to have this uncommon phobia, championed designs that emphasized touchbased or buttonfree interfaces. Additionally, for the Islamic community, this design holds additional significance as it aligns with the principles of simplicity and cleanliness emphasized in religious practices. The absence of physical buttons reduces potential hygiene concerns during ritual cleanliness (wudu), ensuring a more seamless and spiritually mindful interaction. with the device. Resetting the counting device may also be done by rotating the wheel in a rotational direction opposite to that for incrementing the count of the counting device. In one embodiment, the electric power source may comprise a battery. This has the advantage that the perfume container maintains its mobility and does not have to be plugged into a stationary power source. In one embodiment, the battery may be rechargeable, so that the user may simply be able to recharge the counting device instead of having to replace the battery after it has depleted its user. The user may also have the possibility to recharge a phone or other electronic devices using the battery integrated in the perfume container of this current invention. _ 5 _ In one embodiment, the counting device is electrically connected to the battery, which is advantageous when the counting device is a digital counting device. In one embodiment, the counting device comprises a screen, such as a digital or a mechanical screen, for displaying counts of the counting device, visually displaying the amount of prayers done by the user which may be advantageous due to the fact that the user can conveniently read if they have done the amount of prayers done. In one embodiment, the perfume container comprises a dental cleaning device receivable in the second compartment, so that the user may not have to provide a selfprovided dental cleaning device. The dental cleaning device may be a nüswak. Unlike other dental cleaning devices, such as toothbrushes, the miswak does not require toothpaste or water for effective use, making it ideal for maintaining oral cleanliness in diverse settings, including during preparation for prayer. The person skilled in the art will appreciate that the use of the miswak aligns with the requirements of Islamic practices, where cleanliness is emphasized. as a prerequisite for prayer, enabling 'users to fulfill these obligations conveniently and hygienically, even in resourcelimited environments. In one embodiment, the fluid container comprises a valve, such as a capillary valve, for fluidly refilling and / or draining said first compartment, which may allow the user to fill the perfume container with any perfume to their liking, and may enable the user to reuse the perfume container. _ 6 _ In one embodiment, the fluid dispensing mechanism includes a spray fluid dispenser, enabling the convenient application of perfume via a controlled spray. In another embodiment, the fluid dispensing mechanism may be a rollon fluid dispenser, allowing convenient application of the perfume with little to no wastage. In one embodiment, the perfume container comprises a removable sealing cap, configured to at least partially cover the dispensing mechanism, containing the dissipation of perfume over time in order to maintain its quality. In one embodiment, the perfume container comprises a light source on an external surface of said perfume container, wherein said light source is electrically connected. to the battery. The light source may act as a flashlight suitable for the user when they desire to pray in the dark. In one embodiment, the second compartment may comprise at least one aeration opening. Optionally, the at least one aeration opening is coverable by a grate or a grill to protect it from debris. An aeration opening, or an air vent, allows for air circulation and refreshment to reduce humidity inside the second compartment, leading to a quicker drying of the dental device while reducing the chances of mold accumulation on said dental device. This is particularly advantageous when the dental device is a Iniswak, known. to maintain. its exquisite dental cleaning properties when kept dry. In one embodiment, the perfume container comprises a compass for indicating the direction of Mecca. In one embodiment, the perfume container may comprise a clock and an audio speaker device for timely broadcasting a _ 7 _ prayer call, Athan. The clock might be internal i.e. with or without a screen display. In one embodiment, the perfume container may comprise a finger ring attached to a surface of said perfume bottle for attaching the perfume bottle to a finger of the user.
