Apparatus for separating packaging material from packaged organic material

Abstract

The invention is directed to an apparatus for separating metal, plastic and / or paper packaging material from organic material contained by the packaging material. The apparatus comprises an open ended and a horizontally extending tubular part (1), wherein the tubular part (1) has an inlet opening (4) at one end to receive the organic material contained in packaging material and an outlet opening (5) for separated packaging material at the other end, and a rotating axle shaft (6) positioned co-axial with the tubular part (1). Along the length of the axle shaft (6) at least two types of vanes (7) alternate and protrude radially from the axle shaft (6), wherein a first type of vane (8) is connected to the axle under an angle and wherein the second type of vane (9) is connected to the axle substantially co-axial.
