A threaded connection for exploration and production of a hydrocarbon well, wherein the threaded connection comprises a pin and a box extending along a longitudinal axis, the pin comprises a two-step pin thread comprising a large diameter pin thread step having a first pin thread and a small diameter pin thread step having a second pin thread, and the box comprises a two-step box thread comprising a large diameter box thread step having a first box thread and a small diameter box thread step having a second box thread.
