Continuous glucose measurement apparatus

Abstract

The present invention relates to a continuous glucose monitoring device. Providing stable linear movement of the plunger body and reliable needle extraction mechanism in a continuous glucose measurement apparatus are known problems of existing devices. The present invention provides a continuous glucose monitoring device comprising: a body attachable unit having a housing attachable to a user’s body, a sensor unit protruding from the housing for insertion into the user's body, and a needle unit separably coupled to the housing; and an applicator having a main case with a user-manipulated press button, a plunger body separably coupled to the body attachable unit for moving it from a first to second location, a plunger elastic spring providing elastic force for stable linear movement of the plunger body, and a needle extracting elastic spring that stretches when the needle unit moves from the first to second location and automatically retracts the needle unit from the second to first location by elastic restoring force. This configuration ensures both stable plunger movement and automatic needle extraction, improving user safety and device reliability.
