Fastener-driving tool with multiple combustion chambers and usable with fuel canisters of varying lengths

Abstract

A fastener-driving tool comprises a combustion cylinder defining a combustion chamber, a fuel assembly, and a canister mounting subassembly. The canister mounting subassembly includes a fuel canister mounting carriage movable from a rest position to a dispense position. The fuel canister mounting carriage is configured to removably receive a fuel canister. The fuel canister mounting carriage includes: a body including longitudinally extending ribs; first, second, and third spaced-apart pairs of canister-retainer fingers formed with the body; first, second, and third spaced-apart mounting elements; and a fuel canister closure engager formed with the body.
