Article carrier and blank therefor

Abstract

Aspects of the disclosure relate to an article carrier for packaging one or more articles and a blank for forming the carrier. The blank comprises a main panel (12, 112, 312, 412, 512, 612) having an article retention structure (RT) and a second panel (14, 114, 314, 414, 514, 614) hingedly connected to the main panel by a fold line (13, 113, 313, 413, 513, 613), the article retention structure comprising a first engaging tab located proximate the fold line, wherein the engaging tab (48; 148; 448A, 448B) comprises a pair of side edges defined by a pair of non-linear cuts (45, 47; 145, 147; 445, 447) respectively, each of the non-linear cuts (45, 47; 145, 147; 445, 447) having a first end thereof on a distal end edge of the engaging tab, the non-linear cuts extending from their respective first ends toward the fold line (13, 113, 313, 413, 513, 613) and turning away from each other as they approach the fold line, wherein the non-linear cuts (45, 47; 145, 147; 445, 447) terminate at respective second ends which are spaced apart from the fold line.
