Abstract

The present invention relates to an apparatus for thermal treatment of a mineral material, wherein the apparatus comprises an activation apparatus 30, wherein the activation apparatus 30 is in the form of an entrained flow reactor, wherein the activation apparatus 30 is connected to a séparation cyclone 40 for separating the activated minerai material from the gas stream, wherein the apparatus comprises a material cooler 60, wherein the séparation cyclone 40 is connected to the material cooler 60 via a first material conduit 51 for transfer of activated material, wherein the material cooler 60 is connected to the activation apparatus 30 via a gas conduit 80 for transfer of a gas stream preheated in the material cooler 60, wherein the activation apparatus 30 comprises an incinération apparatus for a substitute fuel, characterized in that the séparation cyclone 40 is connected to a second material conduit 52, wherein the second material conduit 52 is connected to the activation apparatus 30 or the gas conduit 80 for transfer of activated material to the activation apparatus 30.
