Abstract

The present invention relates to methods for isolating a product and / or reducing impurities such as host cell proteins (HCPs) from a loading fluid comprising the product and one or more impurities by passing the loading fluid through a medium, followed by at least one washing solution comprising arginine or an arginine derivative at a concentration greater than approximately 525 mmHg and a pH greater than 8. AND COLLECT THE PRODUCT USING AN ELUTION SOLUTION.
