Abstract

A flat bar used with anchor bolts to secure mesh to mine walls or slopes. The flat bar consists of an octagonal metal plate with folded edges towards its upper surface, forming ribs to reinforce said edges. It also has vertical edges with folds facing the underside of the plate, so that the plate is embedded in the ground, providing greater stability, preventing slippage, and leaving a gap between the plate and the tunnel wall to accommodate the wire mesh. The proposed plate represents a very good alternative for securing and reinforcing mesh in mine walls, tunnels, and civil works where slope stabilization is required.
