HERBICIDE COMPOSITION BASED ON MONOTERPENOIDS AND DITERPENOIDS

Abstract

The present invention relates to herbicidal and insecticidal agrochemical compositions and their method of preparation. The composition is formulated as a gel comprising 40% to 90% by weight of monocyclic monoterpenoids, an aqueous solution of an alkaline / alkaline earth hydroxide or acetate, and a moiety of diterpenoids. Alternatively, it is presented as a liquid combining monocyclic monoterpenoids (such as pine oil or alpha-terpineol) with a nonionic surfactant and, optionally, diterpenoids or alkaline bases. The formulations are water-dilutable and are applied to plants, seeds, or soil for the control of weeds and insect pests.
