Abstract

The present invention relates to the use of a mixture to reduce dust formation and / or erosion. It also relates to a method for reducing dust formation and / or erosion, and to a suitable mixture for this purpose.The use of a mixture suitable for biocementation and having the following components: (i) at least one organism capable of forming carbonate, or of inducing and / or catalyzing carbonate formation, and / or at least one enzyme capable of forming carbonate or of inducing and / or catalyzing carbonate formation; (ii) at least one substance for forming carbonate; (iii) at least one water-soluble, water-dispersible and / or water-emulsifiable cohesion-modifying compound, selected from: compounds having affinity for calcium, especially compounds having at least one functional group that binds to calcium, selected from carboxylic acids, carboxylates, carbonyls, among others; (iv) optionally: at least one cation source; (v) optionally: at least one adjuvant.
