Abstract
The present invention relates to compounds of formula 1 or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof wherein: alpha is a single bond and beta is a single bond; and X1 is CH2, among others; X2 is C(HR2), among others; X3 is O, among others; and X4 is C(HR4), among others; wherein R2 and R4 taken together represent a C1-3 alkanedyl bridging the carbon atoms to which R2 and R4 are attached; m is selected from 0, 1, and 2; each Ra and Rb is independently selected from hydrogen and C1-4 alkyl, among others; R5 is selected from: C3-8 cycloalkyl, which is substituted with 0 to 5 substituents independently selected from halo, hydroxy, cyano, and oxo, among others; R6 is selected from hydrogen and C1-4 alkyl; Each of R7, R8, R9, R10 and R11 is selected independently from hydrogen, halo, hydroxy, cyano, among others.Furthermore, the invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition or pharmacological combination comprising the compound or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt. Said compound or its salt enables the treatment of a disease, disorder, or condition associated with NLRP3, a neurodegenerative condition, as well as cryopyrin-associated periodic syndrome (CAPS).
