Abstract
An automated paint application device with 2D guide projection on flat surfaces describes a precise mechanical assistance solution for painting vertical flat surfaces, using a structural system that guides the applicator's movement along the horizontal and vertical axes. The device consists of a base structure (1) composed of a lower horizontal plate (11) and two hollow vertical columns (12), on which a vertical linear actuator (2) is mounted, responsible for movement along the Y-axis. This actuator supports an upper linear guide (3) along which an applicator head (4) moves, driven by a horizontal linear actuator (5), allowing movement along the X-axis. The head can be precisely positioned thanks to a stepper motor assembly (6) that controls both actuators.The system is managed from the control system (7), which allows for the programming of painting patterns or predefined trajectories through an interface. The invention improves the uniformity of paint application, reduces human effort, and increases efficiency in repetitive painting tasks on walls or vertical panels, making it especially useful in industrial, construction, and architectural maintenance work.
