PRINTED SUBSTRATE FOR USE AS A DOVID AND METHOD OF ITS MANUFACTURE

Abstract

The present invention relates to a thermoplastic polymer substrate bearing on at least one of its surfaces at least one stamped diffracting structure, for use of said substrate as an optically variable image diffracting device (OVID), to a method for manufacturing said thermoplastic polymer substrate, target products obtainable from the thermoplastic polymer substrate, a stamping die or matrix suitable for use in manufacturing the thermoplastic polymer substrate, wherein said die or matrix bears a structure on at least one of its surfaces, which is the negative image of the stamped structure of the aforementioned thermoplastic polymer substrate, and to use of said die or matrix to transfer a negative image of its structure onto at least one surface of a thermoplastic polymer material.
