PEPTIDE-CONJUGATE VACCINE COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR THE TREATMENT OF ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE

Abstract

Compositions and methods are provided for the treatment of diseases associated with amyloid deposits of A(beta) in the brain of a patient, such as Alzheimer's disease. These methods involve the administration of a pharmaceutical composition comprising an immunogenic fragment of A(beta) capable of inducing a beneficial immune response in the form of antibodies against A(beta). The immunogenic fragments comprise linear or multivalent peptides of A(beta). The pharmaceutical compositions comprise the immunogenic fragment chemically linked to a carrier molecule that may be administered with an adjuvant.
