SOLID NUTRITIONAL COMPOSITION, METHOD FOR PREPARING IT AND ITS USE

Abstract

The present invention relates to a solid nutrient composition comprising at least one polyphosphate; between 0.10 and 10.00% by weight of iron, with respect to the total weight of said composition; and at least one pH reducing agent selected from the group consisting of solid acid or its salts, hemipotassium phosphate (HKP), monopotassium phosphate (MKP), and potassium sulfate (SOP); wherein the solid acid is selected from the group consisting of propionic acid, acrylic acid, lactic acid, pyruvic acid, butyric acid, succinic acid, fumaric acid, malic acid, itaconic acid, citric acid, gluconic acid, acetoacetic acid, tartaric acid, sulfosalicylic acid, and oxalic acid; wherein said composition is practically free of organic chelating agents containing at least one amine group; and this composition has a molar ratio Ppoli / Fe of between 2.70 and 50.00, wherein Ppoli is the total number of moles of phosphorus in the form of polyphosphate and wherein Fe is the total number of moles of iron in said composition, provided that when the pH reducing agent is selected from hemipotassium phosphate (HKP), monopotassium phosphate (MKP) and potassium sulfate (SOP), the molar ratio Ppoli / Fe of the composition is between 4.00 and 50.00. The invention also relates to an aqueous solution obtained by dissolving said solid nutrient composition, to a method for providing bioavailable iron to plants, to the use of said solid nutrient composition in a fertilizer composition, and for the foliar application of an aqueous solution.
