SYNTHETIC ANCHORED LINING AND METHOD

Abstract

A load-bearing lining structure anchored from a formwork of interconnected open containers in a spaced relationship, to cover a tufted geotextile covering a soil surface, whereby the respective tufts are extended in the respective open containers and a filler received in the formwork to define an upper surface through the formwork, said filler being coupled to the tufts in the open containers and interconnecting the tufted geotextile with the formwork.A method for anchoring a load-bearing lining structure to a tufted geotextile covering a soil surface, comprising the steps of overlapping a portion of the tufted geotextile with a formwork of a plurality of interconnected open containers spaced in relation to each other, whereby the respective tufts extend into the respective open containers; and filling a fill in the formwork to define an upper surface through the formwork and coupling the tufts in the open containers to interconnect the tufted geotextile with the formwork.
