XY-RAY FLUORESCENCE ASSEMBLIES AND SYSTEMS, AND THE METHODS THAT COMPRISE THEM

Abstract

An electromagnetic data acquisition assembly includes a first spectral band sensor configured to capture spectral data within a first frequency range. A first optical path directs light between a first sampling area and the first spectral band sensor. A second spectral band sensor is configured to capture spectral data within a second frequency range. A second optical path directs light between a second sampling area and the second spectral band sensor. The second sampling area overlaps with the first sampling area along a first axis. A computing device communicating with the first and second spectral band sensors is configured to: receive signals indicating the spectral data from the first and second spectral band sensors; and correlate the spectral data from the first and second spectral band sensors.Spectral data can be associated (e.g., co-registered) with XRF data.
