Abstract
The present invention relates to an anatomical paracentesis simulator for clinical training, applied to the field of medical simulation and training in invasive procedures. The simulator comprises an anatomical shell, an abdominal skin, a peritoneal container for holding simulation fluid, a puncture system with puncture containers and a self-closing, perforable septum, and an electric linear actuator coupled to the peritoneal container to generate controlled vertical displacements. It also includes a fluid level sensor and a modular electrical system configured to dynamically control the movement of the peritoneal container based on the volume of fluid drained, progressively reproducing the decrease in abdominal volume during the ascitic fluid removal procedure. The simulator also incorporates a manual drive system, a fluid delivery and evacuation system, and a wireless communication module linked to a mobile application for remote monitoring and control of the procedure. The invention allows for a dynamic, controlled, and reusable simulation of the paracentesis procedure, providing greater anatomical and functional realism compared to conventional systems.
