DEVICE FOR PROTECTING ROW CROPS AGAINST CLIMATE RISKS

Abstract

A device (1) for protecting a row crop against inclement weather is disclosed, comprising a support (2) for means (9) for pulling a protective tarpaulin (4) between a rolled-up and a rolled-up position thereof. According to the invention, said pulling means (9) comprise a deployment and rolling mechanism (10) having a first end (7) attached to drive means (11) for the movement and a second free end (8), and means for fixing said tarpaulin, said mechanism being capable of deploying the protective tarpaulin (4) in a direction parallel to the longitudinal direction of a row crop and in a direction perpendicular thereto when said drive means push the second free end (8) away from said first end (7) of the mechanism (10) and of rolling it up when said second free end (8) is brought closer to said first end.
