METHOD OF SUPERVISING AN INDUSTRIAL PROCESS

Abstract

A method for monitoring an industrial process, the industrial process comprising a plurality of assets, the method comprising receiving asset state data representing at least one piece of information about the state of at least one of the plurality of assets of the industrial process and generating at least one performance indicator based on the asset state data; wherein the state is an automaton state of a discrete state space describing a service of at least one of the plurality of assets whereby the state is described by one and only one respective element of the discrete state space at any given point in time; and an industrial control system configured to monitor an industrial process.
