Abstract

A compound and a method are provided for controlling harmful plant diseases in a plant body, phytopathogen, or soil. An N-substituted oxy-2-aminothiazolcarboxamide compound represented by formula (I) or a salt thereof: where R1 is a (C1-C16) chain hydrocarbon that may be substituted with at least one T1, T1 being cyano or -C(=O)O-R2; R2 is a (C1-C3) alkyl; X1 is a halogen, cyano, H atom, among others; and Y1, Y2, Y3, and Y4 are each independently a halogen, cyano, nitro, among others.
