Abstract

Provided is an incineration system including: an incinerator; a crane including a weight scale that measures a weight of waste held by a bucket; a hopper that retains the waste introduced from above by the crane; a waste feeder that feeds the waste into the incinerator from a lower portion of the hopper; a level meter that measures a level of a surface of the waste retained in the hopper; a correspondence relationship storage storing a correspondence relationship between the level of the surface of the waste retained in the hopper and a total volume-associated value associated with a total volume of the waste retained in the hopper; a data manager that divides the waste retained in the hopper into waste layers and that stores introduced volume-associated values and weights of the waste layers; and an introduced volume calculator that uses the correspondence relationship to obtain the total volume-associated value corresponding to the level of the surface of the waste every time the waste is introduced into the hopper and that calculates, based on the total volume-associated value, the introduced volumeassociated value associated with a volume of an uppermost waste layer of the waste layers formed in the hopper.
