Abstract
Provided is a method for processing laterite nickel ore and stainless steel metallurgical waste with an oxygen-rich side-blown smelting furnace. The method comprises: adding dried and dehydrated laterite nickel ore and a reducing agent into the oxygen-rich side-blown smelting furnace to perform smelting; spraying mixed powder, oxygen-rich gas and fuel gas into a bath of the oxygen-rich side-blown smelting furnace at the same time using a spray gun, controlling the oxygen concentration in the oxygen-rich gas, so as to reduce valuable metals, and obtain molten ferronickel, wherein the mixed powder includes dedusting ash containing stainless steel and pulverized coal, and wherein the spray gun has a multi-annular channel structure. In the present disclosure, the laterite nickel ore and the stainless steel metallurgical waste are co-processed using the oxygen-rich side-blown smelting furnace, so that while realizing the smelting of the laterite nickel ore, the valuable metal ions in the stainless steel metallurgical waste is reduced and is recycled in the molten ferronickel while recycling stainless steel metallurgical waste, and impurities is discharged with the slag. In addition, the present disclosure can also produce manganese-containing and nickel-saving austenitic stainless steel through the molten ferronickel, thereby simplifying production process, reducing energy consumption and improving smelting efficiency.
