Abstract

A linerboard according to one aspect of the present invention has at least a front face layer, a middle layer, and a back face layer, wherein the front face layer contains softwood kraft pulp, a percentage content of the softwood kraft pulp in the front face layer is no less than 80% by mass, the middle layer contains waste corrugated board pulp, and a percentage content of the softwood kraft pulp in the middle layer is no greater than 30% by mass, the back face layer contains the softwood kraft pulp, the waste corrugated board pulp, and waste kraft paper pulp, the waste kraft paper pulp is waste paper pulp derived from kraft paper with a plastic film laminated on at least one face side thereof, a percentage content of the waste corrugated board pulp in the back face layer is no less than 30% by mass and no greater than 70% by mass, and a proportion of a basis weight of the front face layer with respect to a total basis weight is no less than 20% and no greater than 35%. A burst index of the linerboard in an environment of 60 °C and 80% RH is preferably no less than 3.4 kPa·m2 / g.
