Cabinet-type mushroom and other commodities solar dryer

Abstract

The invention relates to a machine called the Cabinet-type Mushroom Solar Dryer. A purely solar-powered machine used for drying mushrooms and other commodities such as vegetables, fruits, and root crops. It is composed of two solar collectors’ tunnels that collect heat from the sun where the heated air is forced by a battery-operated fan to the drying chamber which made the mushroom and other commodities dry. The flow of the heated air can be reversed from top-to-bottom or bottom to top by adjusting the airflow control plate using a battery-operated fan which is charged by a solar panel. By means of this dryer a higher quality product is produced making a higher acceptability in the market, cleanliness, and safeness of the food. It also incurs less drying cost because it solely uses solar power which is naturally available every day instead of electricity or another source of heat and power.
