Abstract

This invention introduces an innovative garlic storage facility tailored for the distinctive climatic conditions of Ilocos Norte, Philippines. By incorporating principles derived from moisture sorption isotherm models, thermodynamics, and heat transfer, the facility is engineered to optimize airflow, temperature, and relative humidity, thereby enhancing the storage processes for garlic bulbs. Notable features encompass a dimension of 3m x 3m x 4m, a 750 kg capacity, a natural cooling system, a movable drying rack, and strategic orientation adhering to agricultural engineering standards. The structure is constructed from durable materials, ensuring resilience and longevity, making it a sustainable solution for garlic storage in the region.
