Abstract
The present invention relates to a method for localizing the conversion of metal layer into transparent metal oxide. The method comprises the steps of providing an electrowetting system; providing, in a sample platform of the electrowetting system, a glass substrate layered on top with a metal layer; placing an amount ranging from 1 to 10 microliter of an electrolyte droplet to a target area of the metal layer; and anodizing, via applying an anodization voltage of about 1.5 to 3 Volts at an anodization duration of about 2 to 10 minutes, with the electrolyte droplet to produce a transparent anodized spot on the target area of the metal layer.
