An apparatus for detachable microcontroller-based motorcycle helmet

Abstract

The primary objective of designing a microcontroller-based detachable motorcycle helmet device is to enhance rider safety. The system incorporates a detachable microcontroller unit connected to force-sensitive sensors embedded in the helmet. These sensors prevent the motorcycle from starting unless the helmet is properly worn. Additionally, the device can detect accidents and automatically notify designated emergency contacts, providing them with critical information such as the rider's location. A remote monitoring unit displays data from the helmet to observe rider behavior and issues notifications in case of any unusual activity. Overall, the research’s findings show how the safety system and detachable microcontrollerbased motorcycle helmet have the potential to improve motorcycle safety.
