Abstract

A card payment system and method using long range (LoRa) communication are disclosed. The card payment system using long range communication according to the present disclosure includes a payment terminal that reads card information from a card and transmits payment information and terminal information together with the read card information using the LoRa communication, and a payment server that receives the card information, the payment information, and the terminal information received from the payment terminal, determines whether to approve a payment based on the card information, the payment information, and the terminal information, and transmits payment approval information to the payment terminal using the LoRa communication.
