Roller type slitter and presser machine for fruit juice extraction

Abstract

The present utility model relates to a roller-type slitter and presser machine capable of extracting juice from fruits, specifically Calamansi (Citrofortunella microcarpa). The essential components of this utility model are feeding hopper, slitting rollers, extraction chamber, meal outlet, juice outlet, power transmission assembly, and support frame. The novel feature of the utility model is the slitting roller that provides initial slitting action to fruits thereby resulting to high extraction capacity and efficiency. Another novel element is the roller having lugs arranged in a preferable angle to effectively send out the meals (seeds, pulp, peels) to the meal outlet. In operation, the slitting rollers slit the fruits before the roller assembly's extraction. The juice extracted is collected from the juice outlet while the residual waste is discharged through the meal outlet. The machine can be used for largescale processing that requires a capacity of up to 300 kg / hr input capacity.
