JT708HH27H02025137 27 Aug 2025 02:23:33 PMMULTIFUNCTIONAL BABY CARRIERTECHNICAL FIELD OF THE UTILITY MODELThe present utility model relates to infant accessories and more specifically, tosoft structured carrier designated for securely carrying infants, with additionalfeatures to facilitate breastfeeding, provide storage, and provide an alternativesupport when carrying a baby.SUMMARY OF THE UTILITY MODELThe present utility model relates to a multifunctional baby carrier that integratesinfant support, foldable storage, alternative carrying configurations, andbreastfeeding assistance in a single device. The technical problem addressedis the lack of multifunctionality in conventional baby carriers, which do notprovide integrated storage, transformable support, or nursing privacy features. The technical solution is achieved by a carrier system comprising two carriermembers, a first carrier member that provides a structured carrier body withshoulder straps for secure infant carrying; and a second carrier member in theform of a thin cloth body with a neck strap that may be deployed as abreastfeeding cover. The carrier further includes an expandable pouch with compartments andZippers, integrated with a belt strap, that allows the entire carrier to be foldedinto compact storage, transforms into a wearable belt pouch usable as anassistive hip seat, and functions as an arm support pillow for breastfeedingcomfort.BACKGROUND OF THE UTILITY MODELYAKAP_Response to FER YAKAP_compilation.pdfBaby carriers are widely used by parents, particularly mothers, to securely carrytheir babies in a hands-free manner. This allows the caregivers to multi-taskwhile simultaneously attending to their child’s needs. The convenience the babycarriers provide makes them particularly useful when traveling.Conventional baby carriers primarily focus on a secure way for caregivers tocarry infants but often lack additional functionalities that could further supportthe other needs of the caregivers. A multifunctional carrier that integratesstorage capabilities and promotes a more comfortable breastfeedingexperience for both the mother and the baby would be highly advantageous, especially for those who are often multi-tasking while doing child rearing. The primary object of the present utility model is to provide a baby carrier thatcan be folded into a semi-oblong-shaped pouch. This self-containedconfiguration eliminates the need for an additional storage bag. The pouch canbe used as an assistive carrier for older babies, similar to commerciallyavailable hip seat carriers.Another key feature of the semi-oblong pouch is it can serve as a nursing pillow, offering arm support to mothers during breastfeeding. This is particularlybeneficial for feeding infants below six months of age, who require more cradledpositioning. It has been observed that breastfeeding comfort varies dependingon the position of the baby. Some infants feed more effectively in a cradleposition, while others exhibit a preference for being gently swayed duringfeeding. Moreover, having privacy while breastfeeding is a common concernamong mothers, particularly in public or semi-public settings. One of theadditional features of the multifunctional baby carrier is a deployable nursingcover for mothers that allows more convenience in breastfeeding, especially inpublic areas.Addressing these specific needs within a single carrier system can significantlyenhance the overall caregiving experience.DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE UTILITY MODELJT708HH27H02025137 27 Aug 2025 02:23:33 PM 3YAKAP_Response to FER YAKAP_compilation.pdfThe advantages of the present utility model would become apparent uponreading the following detailed description, taken in conjunction with theappended drawings wherein:Figure 1 is the perspective view of the carrier when all parts are exposed;Figure 2 is the perspective view of the carrier when the thin cloth is not inuse;Figure 3 is the perspective view of the body of the structured carrier whenin use; andFigure 4 is the perspective view of the carrier when not in use. With reference to the several views of the drawings, they are shown in thefigures of a baby carrier generally designated as 10.
