Abstract

The present utility model relates to an apparatus for demonstrating mini hydroelectric power generation principles addressing the need for an effective and interactive educational tool to illustrate the operational principles of hydroelectric power generation. The apparatus for demonstrating mini hydroelectric power generation principles comprises a base, an upper water tank, a lower water tank, a penstock, an electric knife valve, a water turbine and generator assembly, a direct current (DC) motor pump, a control unit, water level sensors, a voltage sensor, a current sensor, a display unit, and light-emitting diode (LED) lights. The apparatus operates by storing water at an elevated position, controlling its flow through a penstock to drive a turbine generator, converting the hydraulic energy into electrical energy, and recirculating the water via a pump system while providing real-time monitoring and visual demonstration of the generated power. The main use of the utility model is for the educational demonstration of hydroelectric power generation principles in a controlled laboratory setting.
