Abstract
This utility model discloses a process for producing aromatically-enhanced and long-burning charcoal briquettes utilizing a specific blend of 80% carbonized coconut husk and 15% carbonized calamansi (Citrus microcarpa) peels by weight. The process integrates 3% calcium carbonate (CaCO3) as a combustion regulator and 2% cassava starch as a natural binder. The carbonized biomass is pulverized and mixed with water (10-15% by volume) to form a malleable paste, which is then pressure-molded into briquettes and air-dried for 24 to 48 hours. The resulting product provides a sustainable energy alternative characterized by a minimum sustained combustion duration of 120 minutes. This process effectively converts agricultural waste into a smokeless, high-density, and aromatically pleasant fuel source suitable for household and commercial applications.
